Surrealistic Pumpkins and Spell-Check
When I stepped out my front door this morning, there were two giant pumpkins next to the welcome mat of my neighbor across the hall. It destroyed my entire sense of the passage of seasons in one fell swoop of surrealism.
Also, at my place of employment they are now micromanaging spell-check so we're not allowed to add our own words to in anymore (this is all thanks to me convincing them at long last that a pubishing company should make use of spell chekc to elimiate spelling errors) and I happen to find it very unnerving that every time I send an email, the spell checker suggests the word "Interim" as the probable correct spelling of my name.
