So after several weeks of intermittently fiddling around, I've finally rediscovered how to update the archives of my intrasite search engine so it will search the actual current contents of the site instead of the contents that were on the site three months ago, which is what it had been searching until today.

It's always good to remember how to work your own CGI scripts.
