Off I Go, Into the Unknown

So, apparently I'm off to meet [livejournal.com profile] asschow and mysterious unnamed others at some mysterious coffeehouse downtown for no intelligible reason except that I got invited and something simply must be done to alleviate the entirely horrid state of my current mood.

Wish me luck. I do not abandon my vow of hermitude (?) very often.

Have fun!!!!!

I'm jealous that they get to meet you and I haven't yet! It's good that you're in a public place. May they all be friendly and non-psycho. (I'd add "tell us how it goes", but I know you will.)

Strangely enough, I commend you for breaking your hermitude. Unless of course, you have a particularly good reason for it. Don't mind the psychos, they're good for you and mostly harmless. At least, until they start getting medieval on you with their signpens or something like that.

Incidentally, what are signpens?

I hope that you realize that we all expect a full statement of how your meeting went.

Actually, I myself don't even know what the specific technical definition of a signpen but my personal definition would be any ink pen that doesn't use steel nibs that require dipping and isn't a ballpen. Basically ink-pens that have a nice very slide-like way of gliding the ink across the page but don't need dipping. My favorite is the Pilot V5 or V7 Tecpoint, although Dong-A Gels are a much cheaper substitute except the crap pen to good pen ratio is much worse.
