America's Deepest Thinkers

Dan Rather said ". . . and we heard today from some of America's deepest thinkers" and my mind in its laughable naivete flashed immediately to the recent words of Noam Chomsky about the terrorism and I looked up quickly in astonished hope that they were finally going to publicize his words on television. But no - the camera focused in instead upon, guess who . . .

It was Billy Graham.

If he's one of our deepest thinkers, America's in even worse trouble than I ever dreamed.
