Thanks to jezbian for pointing this out to me:

www.1and1.com is giving away FREE 36 months of professional standard webhosting. it is apparently part of their promotion since they are new. this is not shitty webhosting like geocities or whatever, you will have to know how to manage a site through the webserver and not through a website service.

their promotion ends jan 14 so if you want one go get it.

Any of you who are planning to make websites with your own domain names anytime in the next few years would be well-advised to jump at this. Domain name hosting or large-volume, high-quality hosting is usually quite expensive.
