Apparently the founder and editor-in-chief of Adbusters also hates Jews and made a list of "the 50 most influential neocons" just to point out that over half the people he considers "most influential" are Jews and therefore Jews have too much power. No, really. Follow the links! Can someone remind me of how this guy managed to successfully pass himself off for so long as a so-called "progressive" in the first place?

Any idea how he defines jews? Do you have to go to schul regularly? Is one Jewish grandparent enough? Or does he just look for the horns?

I should probably do some more research before I say this, but this has officially caused me to lose a great deal of faith in humanity.

There was a discussion about the whole sneaker thing in the adbusters community a while ago (of which I am a member, and I'll guess I'll stay one because of the discussion but not the Adbusters label itself because I'm so disillusioned lately), which just makes me sad, sad, sad.

Also, there seems to be a scary trend of the movement that supports Palestinian sovereignty being mobbed by anti-Zionists/anti-Semites and gah it's all so complicated and scary and people are assholes and that's about it. :/

All I need to hear about now is how Gandhi was an exploitive capitalist who manipulated and disenfranchised humans and I’ll be about ready to off myself.

Don't off yourself, I <3 you. Besides, Sylvia Plath already did that and look how adorable she is in your icon! If only she had lived longer, you could have more adorable icons of her! (And more brilliant poetry too, of course.)

But I don't think we need to worry about Gandhi anyway; he's safely dead and ususually a lot less new appling information about people comes to light after they're dead. *politely refrains from wishing that this solution could also be applied to Kalle Lasn*

I have no idea. The only way I can think of to possibly find out is to Google the names marked off on his list as Jewish, and attempt to find information about whether or not they go to schul regularly.

you know, one of these days someone is *really* going to have to let me in on the world-famous, secret Jewish conspiracy. come on, what am i, invisible? i feel left out. is it my last name?

has he started doing this really recently? maybe he is losing his mind. the anti-semitism bug really does seem to be going back into vogue lately. i don't get what's so enduring about the Jewish conspiracy scapegoat. is it just easy for people to freak out whenever they see a "Goldberg"? you know a list of all the people running American and European governments leans heavily toward a caucasian/Christian conspiracy. is it that lots of really old Jewish families are in banking? being locked out of any other trade during the Middle Ages by the Inquisitional types just might have something to do with that.

and they really need to make up their minds as to whether the Jewish conspiracy is a communistic conspiracy or a conspiracy of wealthy bankers. it can't be both at the same time.

Probably he hates Jews to support Palestine in the Israel/Palestine conflict. I don't think that is an excuse, tho, but I have heard some Palestine supporters doing so.

I side with Palestine in the conflict, but not all ofm the Jews are Sharon. That's ridiculous.

I have actually been weary of the editor of Abdusters for a long time, but this is the pits!

I gave up on Adbusters years ago, when they changed their distrubuter to one that wouldn't sell to independant bookstores.
