David Bowie is ancient and has to rely on emergency heart surgery to keep him alive! :(

As though getting stabbed in the eye with the stick end of a lollipop weren't bad enough. :(

A woman in the audience was waving a lollipop around, and someone else jostled her and knocked the lollipop out of her hand, and it went flying toward the stage and the stick end of it hit David Bowie in his eye and got stuck there. The fact that David Bowie has been mostly blind in that eye since he was punched in it during high school may have been why he didn't see it coming and reflexively blink in time to stop it from going into his eye.

I just read about that lollipop scandal the other day thinking "that bowie - he is a trooper!!" And now this?! bah! let the man sing I say!
