Um.

"A prominent female state senator [in Kansas] has said that she does not support the 19th Amendment, which guarantees women the right to vote, and that if it were being considered today she would vote against it."

What the HELL'S her deal?
Doesn't peanuthead realize...
her ass wouldn't be in office?

Actually... have you noticed... a kind of... backstep... somewhat... in terms of women pushing not to be second-class citizens? of course, this is rooted with all sorts of cultural underpinnings and such... but... *hmmm*

(Sorry, but I think it's a pretty, calming, word... like calling Mother Earth to come console you. Wind just carressed my calves)

(No, I'm not crazy... just a little weird... ;)

Still in the 21st century we have things like this?

That must be a joke. I just can't believe this.

Peace!

the reason i dindt vote last election, was cus i was lost in a mental institution.
no really. it was supposed to be the polling station for people who lived in the college dorm and area.

i never did get to vote.

if men had been protecting the best interests of women,

and there we have it. mmmm, crack.

what a stupid kakaface. why doesn't she go bake cookies and give someone who deserves it a paying job? you just know her whitey husband is up to his ears in money and this is like her way to amuse herself.

i refuse to believe you were really, coincidentally listening to "suffragette city" while writing that post.

not by coincidence, no. but in case you haven't noticed, almost all of my songs are in some way at least vaguely connected with the entry i list them under. the usual explanation is: it takes me a long time to write most journal entries, and so i listen to many songs during them, and there aren't any rules as to which song i should list. so i generally pick up the album cover and look for a song title that seems somehow appropriate, and list that one.

on rare occasions, though, i get inspired to actually put a new album on just so i can list a particular song title that came to mind in connection with the journal entry. that's what happened in this particular case.

ha . . . now you'll read all my song listings in a whole new light.
