I think all the politicans of the world, all the dudes and duddettes that are supposidly 'in control' of countries...
have a lil day where they make puppets and then they play with them with each other.
but lord knows, Bush would be sucking up to mexicos puppet and ignoring stupid lil PM Jean's Puppet.

LiveJournal refuses to host any pictures except userpics on their own servers. So you have to get the pictures hosted on another server, which is difficult since most free webspace providers like Geocities will block the pictures you host on their servers from being inserted into a page on a different server such as LiveJournal's. So really you probably have to pay for webspace on a server that won't block you from inserting pictures from it onto LiveJournal's pages.
If you do have a webspace provider that's cooperative, then all you have to do is insert the HTML coding for the image as shown here. The only change would be that where that page shows the image source as "typewriter.gif" you'd need to put in the full URL of the picture instead, like "http://www.yourhostname.com/typewriter.gif".
Probably an easier way to show pictures to the people reading your journal would just be to set up a website on Geocities and put your pictures there, and give the link to your website in your journal rather than inserting the pictures themselves directly into your journal. That way you can use free webspace and you don't have to deal with any of the weird problems about Geocities not letting their pictures be inserted into LiveJournal pages.
I hope this explanation made some kind of sense . . . let me know if you have more questions.

Good luck finding a server that will allow offsite posting and doesn't suck... I'm not leaking mine, although it's pretty easy to figure out... (i.e. look where my website is hosted ;))
