How to Get Along with Me
and
Other Very Accurate Observations About Me

How Different Personality Types Cross the River: My type "doesn't get into the water but hides behind the trees and observes." (from this page, which also lists under "Famous Examples of Fives" the example of "C-SPAN." Great! I have the personality of C-SPAN! How flattering!)

What the fuck is a C-SPAN?

In other news, I seem to have changed types. I used to be a 9.

C-SPAN is an American cable TV channel that I don't recall the exact details of since I haven't had cable for a while but basically it showed just nonstop hours and hours of sessions of Congress and courtroom trials and similar reeeaaaalllyyy boring political stuff. I mean, if the particular trial they were showing happened to totally fascinate you then C-SPAN was a fantastic resource . . . but it wasn't exactly the kind of thing that would fascinate any casual viewer randomly flipping channels.

I never used to be able to decide if I was type 5 or type 1, but the quiz definitely showed me as being by far a type 5. My second place was 9 and third place was 1.

You and I must be extremely similar, apparently.

So it would seem.

Somehow, I can see you as being a mixture of 5 and 1, but not so much 9. I may be thinking of a different number, though, because the description they gave on this site wasn't that much like the one I read elsewhere.

I scored a 21 in the "2" category - "Twos are defined by their empathy of other people. They are uniquely gifted at tuning in on the feelings of others. This makes them great networkers. They feed on their connection to others, love of friends and family. However being too caught up with other people can drain them, and cause them to lose track of their own personal well being."

However, I scored a 20 in the "5" category - "Fives are basically at some level estranged from the rest of the world which forces them to build there own unique world perspective. They like to analyze things and make sense of them (that is their anchor), this makes them great inventors and philosphoers. The immense inner world of fives can cause them to lose touch or interest in reality."

As long as both of these are taken into account, I agree perfectly.
