The Anger-Directing Poll!
*Note: Throughout this poll, whenever I use the phrase "somebody else," it doesn't mean you necessarily picked a particular other person to place the blame on - it just means you decided that you surely weren't the one at fault.
Also: technically speaking, when you don't have enough information to really know who is at fault, the correct way to proceed would be to not make any guesses. In practice, however, I think the human brain is wired in such a way that it usually has to take some kind of guess.

Mine is usually directed at other people, when I'm violent at all. Because see, when I get the urge to throw things across the room at the walls I just log onto LiveJournal and type "I want to throw things across the room at the walls" and leave it at that without bothering to actually throw them. I don't think I'd get any additional satisfaction from actually throwing them.
Thankfully, my violence only surfaces at all once every five years or so and has never really injured anybody anyway. Being an oldest sibling, I was always firmly instructed to never dare raise a hand against my poor tiny fragile younger brother (who on the other hand was largely free to hit, kick, and pinch me nonstop until he entered high school and the parents decided he should finally be domesticated a little), so my training mostly succeeded. With occasional lapses, but nothing major.
