Jeremy Will Like This One: Male Contraceptive Implant

Look, it's the first ever Male Contraceptive Implant! Brought to my attention by [livejournal.com profile] digitalis.

Probably a lot easier to get at the age of 21 than a vasectomy has proven to be.

Well, aside from the fact that it hasn't exactly been released to the public yet at all. The age of 22 or 23 then, perhaps.

And it doesn't involve messing around with hormones like the women's Norplant does, either. It's always only women whose hormones have to get messed around with. If I wanted my hormones messed with I might be an FTM by now. I don't want my hormones messed with. It sounds creepy.

But IUDs release hormones too. Just like all the other female birth control methods.

As to the newfangled male implant thingy, as far as I can see there's no reason you'd need to replace it with the slash and burn method at all. I mean, as long as you don't get it surgically removed, it appears to be designed to just stay in there and keep working forever. You'd be set for life. It sounds far preferable to the whole "male pill" business.
