Please do not panic in the birthing room. It will cause the mother of your child to get unnecessary surgery just because you made her feel like the situation was worse than she would otherwise have thought if you hadn't been so panicked. It's hard enough to give birth in a calm atmosphere, and far harder to attempt to simultaneously give birth and calm down the panicked father-to-be.
