What Do You Waste YOUR Hard Drive Space On?

My hard drive has run out of space!

Of course, this has something to do with the fact that 2.34 gigabytes of it, or approximately 81% of my hard drive, is filled with several hundred large bitmaps of David Bowie, along with a hundred or so naked pictures of his wife.

But see, I need those pictures. And no, I can't convert them to JPEG, because don't you understand, I can't risk losing one single solitary beloved pixel from my dearest David's face (nor Iman's body, either) to the horrors of JPEG compression.

i know it's difficult for you to part from your hard-earned currency, but you might want to consider investing in some kind of removal storage option, a zip, or cd burner or something....

i absolutely can't believe that after confessing that 81% of my hard drive could be emptied by merely compressing or deleting a few pictures of david bowie, both responses i received advised me to solve the problem by spending more money to store the pictures, rather than simply getting my bowie fetish a little more reasonably under control.

you clearly have no grasp at all of what an extreme emergency would be necessary to provoke me to spend money. here's what i did: i sorted the pictures in order of size, then looked through the 50 biggest pictures and deleted about 5 of them that were not really sexy enough to matter much to me. and voila! 12% of my hard drive space is now empty.

get yerself a cd burner, babe.

That way you can keep it all... boots, piccies, the works. Iman is stunning, isn't she... *sigh* all warm fuzzies thinking about how right she and Bowie are together.

:) burn it, gayle, burn it.

I had the same problems before.. But because I had songs both in NAPSTER and my Music Match.

Peace!
