October 26th Antiwar Protest

Jason Grrrl recently called my attention to the upcoming antiwar marches in Washington D.C. and San Francisco, scheduled for 11 a.m. this Saturday. Anyone want to go to the San Francisco one with me? I anticipate much difficulty finding a parking place, and much difficulty generally finding my way around San Francisco; having company along would probably be very helpful in resolving such issues.

But first I need to get my poor ailing car fixed. It needs three kinds of maintenance done at two separate places on two separate days between now and Saturday.

And its left rear tire is very, very, very, VERY flat.

Damn it, I'm going to have to miss the World Series game tonight to get that fixed.

I hope you get to go, Gayle! I have *so* many people around here going to DC tomorrow. I think I will go to the local protest in town instead, but I think it's awesome so many people are organizing against this insanity!! One of my students today (who I didn't even really think was that radical) said today in class that even he was driving to DC tomorrow to protest! :-) yay!

Take care, dear!

P.S.

I would love to go to a protest with you sometime, Gayle. Perhaps when you move up to these parts--where it's nice and cold and cloudy (nice Gayle weather?)--we can go protest to our hearts' content in the City! ;-)
