Maybe I Should Try Wearing Those Things Called My Glasses

I just got in my car and drove all the way out just past the front gate of my apartment complex before I realized I hadn't put on my glasses. I have never driven an inch without my glasses ever before. I mean, my eyes are not that bad, only around 20/50 or so, but it just wouldn't be a good thing to drive that way. Nor a legal thing either, for that matter.

We're currently right in the middle of just about the worst weather that Sacramento ever gets, and on top of that my brain is apparently not functioning at full power. I wonder if I should be driving around right now at all. But I want to go to the post office with a winter solstice delivery for [livejournal.com profile] lm, and I don't feel like putting it off any longer.

Once I slammed my finger in the bathroom door right before I left for work. I was afraid I'd lose the nail. But I was really late and I just wrapped something around the finger and got in the car and headed to work, woozy from pain. I didn't realize how bad the pain was until I got to a traffic light and noticed I couldn't keep anything in focus. Wow. That was bad!

Later I realized I'd actually just forgotten to put on my glasses.

I always drive without my glasses except for when it's dark or rainy out. I just don't like looking like Harry Potter, dammit! LOL

I always where my glasses whenever I go anywhere but I always take them off when I'm at home, not because of how they look (I like how they look, and the times I take them off are only when nobody else is around) but because if I wear them the entire day long they tend to make my ears hurt.
