DON'T FEEL POWERLESS (About the War)

Don't Feel Powerless.

I need to do something antiwar this weekend. Something not organized by anybody else. Something on my own initiative entirely, and not anything I've ever done before. Print up flyers or stickers to distribute all over town or something.

your dedication to making me hopelessly frustrated at not living in san francisco was a primary inspiration for it.

I don't own any paint or chalk (a feeble excuse I know), but I think it would be great to wake up one day and find anti-war slogans sprayed in large letters on every wall through the city centre. There's already some, but not enough...

We'll be having a big anti-war demo in London tomorrow.

Might be worth emailing the ambassadors of a few countries - particularly Russia, France, Germany, China, Mexico... - and asking them to (a) table a motion at the Security Council condemning US actions and/or (b) call for an immediate emergency meeting of the General Assembly under Resolution 377 (Uniting For Peace) to condemn the aggressors.

Thanks for the link! I really enjoyed reading that. I'm going to post it in my own journal so that even more people get to read it.

Love the flyers/stickers idea!
