Embroidery thread . . . it's sold in fabric stores and it's like thin shiny yarn, or like a dozen or so ordinary threads laid side by side.

i'm weird about that... i generally love skirts, and i'll occassionally even buy them, but then when it actually comes to wearing them, i usually feel out of place in them... i pretty much only wear them when it's required for a special event or something. i'm starting to get bored with my uber-casual, androgynous clothing style though. if i had the money or the sewing know-how, i'd love to get into the vintage 20s/30s sort of stuff.
