You should try stealing President Bush support signs from people in the middle of the night. It's so much fun. It's become the new past time for my friends and me.
Anne Rice--with her longwinded nonsensical speeches about politics, and her hounding of fanfiction authors, and her apparent belief that all women want/need to have children and will feel empty if they don't, and the way she eventually made all her books about Catholicism, and...yeah. I could go on for days.
Honestly, I can't tell if this is the most amazing thing I've ever heard - or the most disturbing. I must admit, however, that it sent a thrill of recognition up my spine, so it must be something I would do. And if that's the case, I suppose I'll just capitulate to my darker nature and applaud.
well, i went also partly because i was raised well, and thought that attending would be a way of showing respect, for life in general. but i would be dishonest if i didn't say that part of it was the reason above. anyway.
I don't think so... I try to reserve such intensity of passion for things I love. I tend to just ignore people who I find distasteful. I will, however, throw a big party the day that Jack Valenti dies.
I happened to be looking up info on JoAnn Loulan (I dreamed about her this afternoon - I had attended a workshop she gave in Houston years ago) and found your Journal site. Just fascinating and extremely well written. I do notice you mention being an editor of sorts, so that must be the influence. Anyway, just wanted to say I enjoyed looking around at your thoughts - BecksterJ@aol.com
Some of the really conservative newspaper columnists. Because they're political to the point where they can write whatever the fuck they want since they're not trying to get elected into office. I think it was Cal Thomas who really pissed me off yesterday with his rant about the recent Supreme Court decision about sodomy.
i've been thankfully loathing-free for the most part lately, but a girl at my work is driving me utterly batshit. everytime i hear her voice, my fists clench and i fear i'll simply smack her. don't even start on when she *leaaaans* into my workstation in a micromanaging fashion...
yeah, i shake in rage, but i'd say it's not quite hate, since i barely know her. she's just rage inducing.
I get that way when arguing with someone who I really care about, but not from loathing. Although, I'm not sure that I actually loathe anyone, come to think of it.
this GIRL who went to high school with me and now insists on VOLUNTEERING to collect attendance in summer school while i try get my athletic credits done with. she often speaks in olde englishe and she tried really hard to be eccentric and she cries on PURPOSE. all the time. for dramatic effect. i hate her. the end.
