Thank you, dearie. :) Someone told me once that October 5th is the most popular birthday of the year.

I'm holding my breath for you-- wishing you all the courage and conviction and strength of spirit you need to get through this thing with your parents. If it creates an even greater gap between you, maybe it's for the best thing. If they refuse to love and recognize you for who you are, perhaps you need to fill that gap with a different kind of family: people who will care about you despite petty personal hang-ups.

My gap is already filled. I have a wonderful "different kind of family" already. :-)

Whatever happens with my real family, I'm sure my adopted "family" of friends will pull me through it.
