What I want to know now is . . . what sort of fool am I, that I've been regularly writing screeds of 3,000 to 7,000 words without anyone paying me for it???

It's no wonder I like my new job so much. If I didn't have to go to work five days a week, I'd never get a chance to recover from all the needless work I do in my free time.

When I was an editor at the Link (the lefty student paper on campus), we feuded with (how typical) the engineering students' paper. At a certain point, they gave us the label 'verbose queers'. We wore it with pride. Seems apropos.
