Lessons Wanted

The problem with this test, other than the fact that all IQ tests are culturally biased just like any other test and are falsely believed not to be, is that if I were actually very intelligent at all, I would not have bothered to keep starting the stupid test all over again every single time the page failed to load for me and I had to start all over again at the beginning.

IQ Challenge [Note: This test is a joke. See comments.]

But I have a question. Can someone please explain this pattern to me? It's the only question on the whole test that I had to guess about. I'd be happy to explain any of the other questions on the test to anyone who can't figure out the answers.

(A, B, C, and D are the answer choices. The four dots are there to separate the pattern from the answer choices; they are not part of the pattern.)

It's just mirrored letters, in alphabetical order, starting with C, which makes the choices F, O, [nonsense], and L. (For what it's worth, I've seen this before. And at least this test didn't have that damn glove question. Seriously, memorizing that is the easiest way to help with online "IQ tests".)

Ah! In that case, I guessed wrong. Thanks!

Oh, and what is the glove question?

[identity profile] luinied.livejournal.com 2006-05-08 07:47 am (UTC)(link)
Turning a glove inside-out either will or won't switch the hand that it fits on. For some reason knowing this is a big factor in a person's intelligence, or so I gather from online tests.

Oh, that's a really easy question, though. Even if a person were terrible at visualization, I'd think practically everyone has turned gloves inside out often enough to remember it just from experience.

Another problem is that it's evidently a joke (http://gr8kat.livejournal.com/570403.html). Your IQ is showing as 83 to me.

Ah, that explains a great deal.

I thought it was fairly self-explanatory, but if you want more details, try my website, QueerByChoice.com.
